She never took any thing if they offered because she had her pride. In addition to her pay check, they would offer her clothes, etc. Many would fell very sorry for her being on the low end of the totem pole and working a job like that. Some times she would have wealthy clients who were very kind people. She demanded where was the shampoo bottle, and asked her if she had taken it? She told the lady that she put the bottle away in the bathroom cabinet. One of the maid's clients called her and the lady could not find a bottle of shampoo that originally was placed on the edge the bath tub. I knew someone who was a maid for many households, and one of many examples of how aware these rich people are when things go missing they can go to weird extremes. Besides, you could have gone to jail for some hag ,and your life would have been ruined while she would carry on in her lavish living unaffected, and over all that would be a major back fire on you. The painting doesn't belong to you period. If you did do it, that is terrible because just the woman was a Tasmanian devil doesn't mean its alright to steal from her. If she hired a catering service and she found something or things missing, she would have called the catering service, and would have screamed at the manger that one of their employees stole something from her. The poster who said he stole a tiny Andy Wharlo from her bathroom, I find it hard to believe. I notice some on here have stated that her husband was a horrible person? Where did you get that info? Again,Is there a biography that was written? Does anyone know if there was a biography that was written about her I can read? I don't like magazine articles nor newspaper articles on biographies on people. I have heard of and read about many, many socialites, but unfortunately I never heard of Jane Wrightsman.
